Students from Krakow visited the Remembrance Place in Auschwitz -Birkenau former Nazi Camp.
They spent time not only to listen to the main facts connected with the place but also participated in an hour and a half workshops devoted to the group of more than 400 000 Hungarian Jews who died there. The pictures and impressions are submitted to the Holocaust padlet- follow the posts if you wish and add yours if you happen to be in such a place. The most unexpected seemed to be the way we could learn the details of the Hungarian past and unfortunate coming to the camp during only 56 days- the interior is designed with obvious referral artefacts such as "chimneys" where the knowledge is put on the screens and the "train" - analogy to the one we saw in Birkenau.
