A sonata or two can aid your IQ By Nigel Hawkes ,science editor
Listening to Mozart can significantly increase you intelligence,
according to the researchers in America. Unfortunately, the
effect is temporary and only lasts about 15 minutes long.
De Frances Rauscher and two colleagues from the University of
California were reported the findings in the journal Nature. They asked
36 college students standard of psychological tests
After listening to a tape of Mozart’s sonata for the pianos in D major.
They found that the students did better after listening to this music
Than they did so after hearing a ten-minute tape of instructions
designed to make them to relax, or ten minutes of silence. Although
the researchers could offer no explanation for the finding, but they
said that there had long been a belief that people who are interested
in music are tend to perform better at intellectually demanding tasks.
They believe that the beneficial effect which depends on the complexity
Of the music played and they intend to try the other compositions
And musical styles to prove the point. They also plan further tests
To see if a listening for longer periods produces even greater effects.

Here is the review of the film entitled Amadeus.
By Iza PiĆ³rkowska:
Amadeus is a great film, that shows the shocking drama of mans life, based on Amadeus Mozart life,  at the same time exposing a colorful picture of that era. Its also a great tribute to Mozarts work. The films set in XVIII century. At one of the very first scenes, Antonio Salieri (F. Murray Abraham) is telling the story of his life to a clergyman, who came to hear his confession. Salieri says that once he used to be a valued composer at the court of Emperor Joseph II. Everyone has extolled his talent, and his fame seemed to rise with every day. Everything changed when Amadeus Mozart (Tom Hulce) appeared there.  Young composer stunned the world with his flair and took Salieris place. For Salieri, the master at his genius work, discovering that his music was no longer eulogized, was almost frightening. Divine music skills, that Salieri wished to have for himself,  was given to lewd and mischievous jokester. He tried to understand how does it even possible that Mozart had written his very first concerto by only four years old, his first symphony at his seven, and opera being twenty. Emperor commissioned from Mozart opera, that in a short time became a tremendous success. Some time later Amadeus gets married to Constance and stayed in Vienna. At that point, Salieri gets mad with hatred that filled his heart. He started to plan to destroy Mozart in every possible way. He didnt even exclude killing him. He sent to Mozart maid, who was supposed to spy on every movement of the young composer. In this manner, he wanted to control actions of his worst enemy. Meanwhile, Mozarts wife visited Salieri to ask for letting her husband work at the court. As the result of Mozarts profligacy, they get into enormous debts and Salieris help seemed to be their last resort. Antonio was delighted by received works of his rival but it didnt influence his plans of taking Mozart down. He did everything he could to make emperor stop admire Amadeus gift. Meantime, when Salieri was focusing on his next conspiracies, Mozart has started to act very weirdly. He drank alcohol, shout a lot, started to have anxiety problems and took meds. Even Constance came to the conclusion that Amadeus could maybe lose his mind. She tried to help him at all costs, she tends to sit near him to motivate him to compose. Unfortunately, Mozart life wasnt meant to last any longer.  Soon he died defeated by illness, leaving his family alone on Earth.
That film is a marvelous biography of one of the most famous virtuosos. Its really unusual because it shows Mozart story from another artist point of view. That movie demonstrates a slightly new face of Amadeus, his flaws, advantages, concerns, and worries. I personally think that it is definitely worth seeing because its not only a great music lesson but history as well. Watching that kind of movies give us more than listening to bland essays or reading books. Amadeus allows us to closely follow fates of the main character, simultaneously learning about Mozart life story. The cast is excellent, as well as music and films atmosphere. This movie is excellent - dont miss it, especially because its based on a true story.
